Merry Xmas everyone!!! =]

Yays! I love Christmas! Wahaha. Okays, let me update abt whatever I missed out earlier at Bern's place...heh.

The bbq was really fun. I didn't exactly eat much, but that's not the point. Hahas. Impt point being, I finally met up with my darlings from IJ again last night, and I've missed them so much! It was really great seeing everyone again...pity Siew Ping wasn't there though...but nvm, can meet her some other time. =]

There wasn't very much to do once the rest of Bern's friends left...so we just sprawled in front of the tv...hahas. Talked some, watched some, even went out to 7-11 to buy cup noodles...at 4am in the morning! Lol. Ended up eating them for a really early breakfast. =p Needless to say, I didn't sleep a wink last night...we tried to keep awake by playing UNO Stacko..in the end, just talked till the sun came up. =]

And hey, thanks so much for all your pressies pple...I so totally owe you all lah...-guilty look- I promise to pass them to you the next time we meet! Hopefully not too long later. Heh. After not meeting up with you all for over a year, last night really made me feel that I'm missing out on alot! Hahas. Hope can still catch up with you all yar..you're all great frens I love and never wanna lose. =]

Hmm...after I came home today, went to sleep till afternoon...then just kept sleeping on and off...really dead tired sia. Heh. Mummy came home early, so we all went out. Went PS, where we walked and walked...wanted to find a nice place for dinner, but the queue everywhere was so freaking long lah. We ended up looking for a place to eat for about an hour before finally getting a place at Crystal Jade. I was really pissed sia, pple were all going in before us just cos' we needed a table for 4. A hungry gal is a cranky gal lah. Lol. But aniwaes, the dinner was worth the wait. It was good! Hahas. Yummilicious! =p

And so, I'm back home now...wondering whether or not I should go and sleep soon. Weirdly enough, I dun feel as tired as I ought to. Considering that I stayed up the whole of last night. Oh wells, guess the naps today worked some magic. After all, it's Xmas!!! If only I could be out partying...hahas. Man, that's all I think abt nowadays, really. It's so scary lah. I dun think I was quite liddat in the past. Lol. But I do love festive seasons...or just celebrating anything...I love to partayy!!! Wahaha. Speaking of which, new year is coming soon! I had alot of fun counting down last year sia...I wonder if I'll get the chance to again this year? Anybody wanna go for New Year countdown?? =p

Okays..I'm at Bern's place now..it's 8am in the morning and I haven't slept a wink at all. Been up the whole night, and honestly, I'm dead tired now. Zzzzz.....

Later when I go home, I really gotta catch a few winks. Afternoon still gonna go out. Sigh. Oh wells, the gathering was pretty fun. Hahas. Brings back old memories...haven't met them for so long, missed everyone loads!!! Pity Siew Ping didn't come though.

When I'm home, I'll update more again. Plus upload photos and add the link. Heh. For now, I'm just trying to keep myself awake till Eileen and Hui Zhen wake up, then we can go home. Hahas. Wokays, I'm gonna end here for now. Will come back later.

Going to Joanie's house to bake cookies later! Wow, am I in the Xmas mood or wad. -smiles-

But alas, my finances aren't gonna survive the yuletide season. I'm already dissaving, and I counted out 16 buckeroos left to buy cookie ingredients, attend a chalet (maybe?), and 2 more parties (maybe maybe?). So, I either gotta

1. dissave somemore
2. rob a bank, or
3. wait for money to fall from the sky

I should think the obvious choice is 1 huh. Of cos', I should have added sth about finding a job and earning money, but I dun see that happening anytime soon. Definitely not in time for Xmas. Sigh. Nvm, cookies later should brighten up my mood! That's provided they come out of the oven edible. Lol.

I'm thinking of baking for so many pple can. My family (duh), my IJ clique..my uncle! I'm thinking that a jar of homemade cookies might brighten up his stay in hospital...it's always nicer to celebrate Xmas at home than in the hospital. But aniwaes, I hope he'll recover soon! =]

Today's a stay-at-home day. Been going out almost daily. But it's so boring at home lah.

Acty, I had planned to stay home ytd, but ard afternoon, received a msg from Ling jiejie asking whether wanna go out. So off we went. Hahas.

Accompanied her to do her Xmas shopping...town was really crowded for a Monday! I mean, although it's sch hols, it was almost like the weekend crowd lah. Aniwaes, I had a really fun day out. And ohh! I found out more abt the brand Tony and Tina..I think it's really quite a good brand. But of cos, you gotta be willing to pay for it lah. Doesn't come cheap! Too bad they have only one banch at Wisma though. Met quite a few pple ytd..saw Brenda and Si Qi at Kino! And then again at Taka. Hahas. Bumped into Jeslin too...wow, the pple I haven't been in contect with since leaving IJ. I do miss them sia.

Ooh! I ate tea/dinner at Ding Tai Fang! Or sth liddat. Heh. The xiaolongbao is really good! Oh man, pple, u really gotta go there and try it! Xtina! Hahas. I think it's better than Crystal Jade's? =p

After that, went for Philwinds concert at Esplanade. Didn't plan to go initially, cos' it was really ex, but LK insisted I go. Said that it's really worth going, and that he felt I really must go and listen. So guess what, he treated me to the concert. As in, he literally paid the 24 bucks for me...said it's an Xmas pressie. Sigh. It's a very expensive pressie can. But he didn't let me refuse, so I ended up going. Er, went with Jeannie's senior..Boon Hwee. Cos' I was asking ard for pple to buy tix from LK, then, to cut a long story short, I just ended up going wif him lah. Not a very good choice, seeing how I dun exactly know him, plus dunno wad to say to him. But everyone else so broke, so no one else to go with. Aniwaes go concert nonit to talk much wan lah so nvm. Hahas. Met William and Inez they all there..didn't know got pple I know going, or I could have just gone with them. Heh.

I think the concert was pretty good...and yes, while Najib played well, can tell he's a very zai player, but I think maybe he was nervous? I think I can safely say it wasn't his best performance lah. But it was good nonetheless. His tone is not bad..it'll be even better if he can sound more polished and flawless. LK sounded really good ytd though. Even better than at Grafito. He didn't 'shake' for the solos..heh. Which is really good! I love his tone man. And Liam's. The fall-in-love kind of tone which me and Siti termed. Hahas. Aiyah, acty ar, ask me to comment is quite useless one lah. For a trumpet player, I'm very lousy, and while I love bandmusic, my knowledge is quite on-the-surface. I can't go into those in-depth comments and blah that the rest do..like, actually commenting all the way about a player's technique and skill and whatnot, using those ultra chim words. Hahas. I'm still learning though. =]

I liked the last piece the most. Dances from Crete. The plate smashing part was a bonus. Hahas. And I like the conductor! Timothy Reynish. I think he's good, and he looks so much like a big teddy bear! Wahaha. Contrary to what Boon Hwee felt about the way Reynish was commenting after getting the band to play excerpts, I dun think it's a very bad idea. It's pretty fun, acty. Kind of lightens the mood. Plus, we get to understand more abt that particular excerpt..it's sth quite different lah. Not sth you often see in concerts. Heh. Ohh yes, the clarinet soloist was zai can. Wah liao. If I'm a clarinetist, he'll be one of my role models. Hahas.

After that, I spent a long time waiting for LK to come out...and I found Mr Sim! Hahas. He still looks about the same after 2 yrs...and he was quite surprised when I gave him the rose. Heh. Said it was a sweet gesture..after joking that I gave it to him just because he happened to be there. Lol. Well, he was my conductor after all. And he was telling me, must go for Fantasia next year. Before the concert, I bumped into Dern, and she told me it's on the 29th. Dun worry, I will go k! Hahas. Even if I hafta work on that day, I'll take the day off. That's provided I can find work first. Heh. Mr Sim was telling me that the band has improved alot...and that the sound is now different from the one I heard the last time I went back. Apparently, it's an even better sound now. And at that time, I was already pleasantly surprised by their overall improvement. But of cos, it's great that they're continually improving...I'm really happy for the band. When I left it, I think we sounded bad. Okays lah, compared to TJ band. I mean, when I was still in there, it seemed like we sounded pretty good during concerts and all. But now, when I listen to the recordings then, I really cringe can. Can't bring myself to listen more than a few bars. I wonder why on earth did pple say we were not bad back then. Hahas.

Hmm..I just finished writing the last of my Xmas cards just now...must go and post them later! In fact, I'm not even sure if the cards can reach everyone by Xmas...I bet the postmen are all ultra busy lah. Heh.

Xmas is coming!!! Countdown 3 more days! So exciting man...hahas. Too bad no snow in S'pore...I want a white Xmas! Maybe next time lah. =]
